Our approach is to work as a partnership and as individual partners through their networks and activities and include:
- Engagement with Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) and other strategic bodies raising the Fens profile and awareness of needs and benefits gained at strategic levels
- Encourage inclusion of activity to support Fen land management and biodiversity in Agri-environment Schemes
- Encourage and promote inclusion of wetland and Fen habitat in Area Mineral Plans
- Consider approaches to get strategic area restoration plans in place
- Engage with relevant planning proposals to ensure biodiversity enhancements and gain are secured through the planning system
- Key messages are identified and used to increase recognition for and awareness of the Fens and a key communication channel for this purpose (the website) is in place
- Knowledge transfer and networking across the Fens with the land based sector
