Natural Capital is the stock of all natural assets, including, soil, air, geology water and all living things. It provides us with a wide range of services, often called ecosystem services, which make human life possible. Natural Capital accounting is a means of explicitly including information on the state of, and changes in, natural capital, in economic accounts.
Our meeting will explore what this means for the Fens. Presentations will include; water management and hydrology, case studies on the Great Fen project and Willow Tree Fen and an update on Flag Fen and the Must Farm archaeology that has recently been found.
